Lakewood Resident Arrested After Robbing Bank In Brick Township

Brick Chief of Police David Forrester has announced the arrest of Andrew Borbotko, 44, of Lakewood, in connection with the robbery of Santander Bank in the township last week. Borbotko was charged with 2nd-degree robbery and turned himself in without incident after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Borbotko was processed and is currently being held at the Ocean County Jail.

It is not clear how Borbotko was identified as the perpetrator. Police last week requested the public’s help to identify the suspect and released photos of him following the robbery.

Chief Forrester praised the collaborative efforts of the Brick Township Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, Lakewood Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Red Bank Office in connection with the investigation.
