A power outage is affecting portions of Lakewood, including the Route 88, Sterling, Ridge, and East 7th Street areas. As of 5:40 p.m. Thursday, approximately 642 JCP&L customers were without power.
The cause of the outage has not yet been announced. JCP&L is currently estimating that service will be restored by approximately 9:00 p.m.
Residents experiencing outages are encouraged to report them directly to JCP&L. Chaveirim of Central Jersey advises that generators are currently available only for emergency situations and can be requested through their 24/7 hotline.
