Lakewood Police Officer Wins Coveted “Top Cop” Award for Third Year in a Row

On Thursday, Ptl. Nicholas A. Cusanelli II was presented with the “TOP COP” for the most DWI arrests in Ocean County at the MADD Awards ceremony at the New Brunswick Elks Lodge located at the Rutgers Campus.

Ptl. Cusanelli has won this award for the 3rd year in row in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

Each year, MADD recognizes individuals and agencies for their outstanding work to help prompt MADD’s mission to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these crimes and prevent underage drinking.

“We congratulate the proactive efforts of Ptl. Cusanelli by being vigilant and keeping our community safe from drunk and/or drugged driving,” the Lakewood Police Department said.
