The Lakewood Police Department is inviting residents to its “Chill with a Cop” community event on Sunday, July 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Lakewood Town Square, 231 3rd Street.
The family-friendly event will give residents the opportunity to meet Lakewood police officers, enjoy a free frozen treat, and engage in casual conversation with the men and women who serve the community.
Representatives from the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, New Jersey State Police, and the Lakewood Fire Department will also be on hand to meet residents, answer questions, and provide information about their agencies.
The event is made possible with the support of Rita’s of Lakewood, which donated the frozen treats. The Lakewood Police Department encourages families to stop by, connect with local and state first responders, and enjoy an afternoon of community engagement.
