Lakewood Police, EMS Train At Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst [PHOTOS]

The Lakewood Township EMS – SRT Unit was given an opportunity to train at the Joint Base of McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in the Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) last week. EMS extended the invitation to its partner first responders to provide joint training; Lakewood Township’s Medical Director (Dr. Matthew Letizia), Lakewood Police Department, Ocean County Regional SWAT, Brick Police EMS, & RWJ Tactical Medic, who all participated in the training exercise.

“Our communication and team work was challenged under strenuous conditions, while pushing our mental and physical capabilities through the exercises that we participated in,” Lakewood EMS said. “We would like to thank McGuire- Dix- Lakehurst Base’s MSTC staff, for hosting this training exercise. We look forward to more training exercises in the future.”
