Lakewood Police Chief Gregory H. Meyer Marks 39 Years of Service

Chief Gregory H. Meyer is celebrating 39 years of service in law enforcement on February 17, 2025.

Since assuming the role of the 12th Chief of Police for the Lakewood Police Department on August 1, 2016, Meyer has overseen the department’s growth and modernization.

Under his leadership, the department has focused on crime reduction, public trust, and officer well-being, implementing advancements in mobile technology, modern in-house systems, and expanded training programs.

New positions have also been established to enhance community service and operational efficiency.
