Lakewood Planning Board Approves New BMG Dormitory For 700 Bochurim

The Lakewood Planning Board on Tuesday night approved Beth Medrash Govoha’s application to construct a new dormitory for its growing roster of bochurim on Lakewood Avenue, between 7th and 8th Streets.

The plans submitted by BMG call for a nearly 115,000 square foot structure with space for 144 bedrooms, which could accommodate approximately 700 bochurim.

The ground floor of the planned structure would be a full parking lot with 84 spaces, and additional parking would be available at a new parking lot – also approved by the Planning Board on Tuesday – that will be located on Lakewood Avenue, providing an additional 108 spaces.
