The Lakewood Police Department announced the graduation of two of its newest officers, Caleb J. Alvarado and Marc A. Rodriguez, from the Ocean County Police Academy’s Class #118. Alvarado and Rodriguez successfully completed the Basic Course for Police Training on Friday, marking a significant milestone in their journey to becoming full-fledged law enforcement officers.
Their graduation comes after months of rigorous physical and academic training designed to prepare new recruits for the challenges of serving and protecting their communities. The program not only tests recruits’ endurance and discipline but also hones critical skills in areas such as crisis management, de-escalation tactics, and criminal investigation.
The Lakewood Police Department commended the hard work and dedication of Alvarado and Rodriguez, recognizing the discipline they demonstrated throughout the program.
“We are extremely proud of our graduates and excited to welcome them to the team,” said Chief Greg Meyer. “Their commitment to public service is admirable, and we are confident they will make a meaningful impact on our community.”
The Lakewood Police Department also extended its congratulations to all graduates of Class #118 and expressed appreciation for their choice to step up to the call of duty.
