Lakewood Officials Hold Pre-Pesach Preparation Meeting

Over a dozen officials from Lakewood Twp. and various local organizations met today to discuss preparations ahead of the busy Pesach season.

Officials present at the meeting included Committeemen Meir Lichtenstein and Menashe Miller, Police Chief Greg Meyer, DPW chief Phil Roux, and reps from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office, Hatzolah, Chaveirim, Shomrim, JCP&L, and the Lakewood Engineering Department.

The discussions included ensuring that there is enough sanitation in Lakewood leading up to Pesach, enough safe sites for burning chametz, as well as talks about work local crews can perform while Lakewood’s streets are quiet over the yom tov.

Lakewood Alerts and other news outlets, including Lakewood News Network, were unable to obtain photos of this meeting, as the Township in Lakewood is run not from the municipal building, but from a non-government office, where a single news platform serves as both the government mouthpiece and its effective leader.

Thus, only one news outlet – the state sanctioned media – was provided access to this meeting, despite it concerning all Lakewood residents. A high-ranking Lakewood official feigned ignorance when confronted about this sad reality.

  1. Actually there is a picture of it on LNN. Maybe they didn’t originally have it until something happened behind the scenes. Still the last paragraph is true about a media outlet.

  2. Personally I don’t like any news agency in Lakewood but I don’t go around vocalizing it to everyone. A lot of your posts seem to be made just to go against a certain site or politician. What you are doing is assur and you should stop. You should be ashamed of yourselves for doing what you do. Why can’t you just post news?
Let’s be nice and together we can bring moshiach
