Lakewood Man Busted Running A Drug House In Brick

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced that a joint investigation identified a residence in Brick Township as being utilized by Raheem Montgomery, 30, of Lakewood, to store and distribute Cocaine and Heroin/Fentanyl in the Ocean County area.

Detectives from multiple law enforcement agencies initiated surveillance on the subject residence in Brick Township. On August 3,, Detectives observed Montgomery exit the residence and travel to Point Pleasant; he stopped at a local gas station, where Detectives approached and detained him without incident.

The Brick Township Police Department Special Emergency Response Team then executed a court-authorized search warrant on the subject residence. As a result, law enforcement seized approximately 10 grams of Cocaine, 350 wax folds of Heroin/Fentanyl, one pound of Marijuana, drug paraphernalia indicative of narcotics distribution, a stolen handgun with a high-capacity magazine, hollow point ammunition, and approximately $7,300 in United States currency.

Montgomery was subsequently charged with Possession of Less than One-Half Ounce of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Heroin/Fentanyl with Intent to Distribute; Possession of One Ounce or More but Less than Five Pounds of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Heroin/Fentanyl; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; being a Certain Person Not to Possess a Firearm; Possession of a Weapon During a Controlled Dangerous Substance Offense; Possession of a Stolen Firearm; Possession of a Prohibited Weapon or Device – specifically a High Capacity Magazine; Possession of a Prohibited Weapon or Device – specifically Hollow Point Ammunition; and Financial Facilitation. Montgomery was taken into custody, and is presently lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
