Lakewood Fire Foundation, NCA Brighten Up A Sick Child’s Day

Recently, the National Chaplains Association (NCA) reached out to Lakewood Fire Commissioner and Fire Foundation Trustee Harrison Pfeffer to help brighten a sick child’s world. The child had recently received an unfortunate diagnosis and the NCA was looking to put a smile on his face.

Commissioner Pfeffer immediately sprung into action and designated the child an Honorary Fire Commissioner and provided him with an assortment of coloring books and Fire Department and Foundation souvenirs.

Commissioner Pfeffer said “helping a sick child is what public service is all about, and helping others is a core principle of the Foundation. Commissioner Pfeffer also said that “the NCA gets the real credit for coordinating such activities on a consistent basis.”
