Lakewood Fire Department Appoints New Volunteer Firefighter Emily Komsa

The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners along with Fire Chief Jonathan Yahr, announced the appointment of volunteer firefighter Emily Komsa.  This appointment was confirmed at the Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners’ meeting held on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, where she was sworn in with honor and commitment.

Emily Komsa is the granddaughter of former Lakewood Fire Chief and Township Committeeman Mike D’Elia Sr., and niece of former Lakewood Fire Chief Mike D’Elia Jr.

The Lakewood Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners, along with Lakewood Fire Department Fire Chief Jonathan Yahr, continue to seek individuals who have a desire to serve the Lakewood Community.
