Petitions To Become Lakewood Fire Commissioner Now Available

Individuals interested in running to become a Lakewood Fire Commissioner can now submit petitions to have their names appear on the November ballot.

Voting will take place during the General Election taking place on November 7, 2023. Voters will be asked to elect two Commissioners for three year terms.

Candidate Petitions for Fire Commissioner can be obtained by contacting the Ocean County Clerk’s Office, Election Services Division, 118 Washington Street, Toms River, NJ, 08753. All candidates seeking Fire Commissioner seats in the upcoming November general election must contact the Ocean County Clerk’s Election Office at (732) 929-2153 or email Supervising Election Clerk Cheryl L. Hopkins at chopkins@co.ocean.nj.us.

The deadline to file the petitions is Monday, July 31, 2023, by 4:00 p.m. to Harrsion Pfeffer, the Clerk of the Lakewood’s Board of Fire Commissioners Fire District No. 1.
