The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners, along with Fire Chief Jonathan Yahr, announced the appointment and swearing-in of John P. Plevritis Jr. as a full-time career firefighter. Firefighter Plevritis officially took the oath of office at the Board of Fire Commissioners meeting held on July 14, 2025.
Firefighter Plevritis joins the Department already certified as a firefighter and will undergo additional training specific to the Lakewood Fire Department’s operations and protocols. Upon completion of this training, he will be assigned to a firehouse in the coming weeks.
The Lakewood Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners, along with Lakewood Fire Department Fire Chief Jonathan Yahr, continue to seek individuals who have a desire to serve the Lakewood Community.
