A new initiative in Lakewood is working to bring comfort to families facing the challenges of hospital stays. Volunteers are distributing free care packages designed to ease stress and provide a measure of relief for both adults and children with loved ones in the hospital.
The packages include stress-relief toys, fidget items, and other small but thoughtful gifts aimed at lifting spirits during difficult times. Organizers say the effort is meant to remind families that they are not alone in their struggles.
Families can reach the initiative’s organizers at 848-299-9638 to arrange pickup. Packages are available at multiple convenient locations, including Raintree, Ridge, Chateau Park, Jackson, and Howell.
