In the quiet hours before dawn on Wednesday, a dramatic and heartwarming moment unfolded on the side of the Garden State Parkway when a woman gave birth before emergency responders could arrive.
Around 4:00 a.m., members of Jersey Shore Hatzalah were dispatched to assist a woman in active labor on the Parkway. By the time first responders reached the scene, the baby had already made their entrance into the world.
Jersey Shore Hatzalah paramedics assessed both mother and newborn at the scene and ensured they were stable before transporting them safely to the hospital. Baruch Hashem, both mother and baby were reported to be in good health and doing well.
