Families in Lakewood will soon have a way to track their children’s school buses. Jay’s Bus Service and Presidential Transportation announced this week that they are launching a Bus Tracking Pilot Program for the LSTA routes they service.
The initiative, which is being introduced on a trial basis, will allow parents to follow their child’s bus route using either a dedicated phone line or an online portal.
According to the announcement, each child’s bus route can be identified by the phone number already on file with the transportation providers. Families can locate this number on their B6T form, available on the LSTA portal at www.lakewoodsta.org.
Parents can track buses in two ways: Call 732-276-1176 from the registered number on file, or visit parent.geotrackny.com.
Families may also register up to two additional phone numbers online, allowing a total of three numbers per household.
Program officials emphasized that this is still a pilot program, with tracking currently limited to morning routes. Some routes may not track properly at all times as the system is tested and refined.
“We kindly ask that you do not call the bus company with tracking concerns,” the announcement stated. “The companies are aware of potential issues and will continue working to resolve them.”

About time. Thank you Jays for stepping up giving parents the piece of mind. Hopefully more companies follow suit.
If your child is transported via jays..peace of mind is def not what you should be experiencing.
This is really a dumb idea, and at what cost? A better idea would be to educate the drivers on road courtesy and to be honest how to drive. Jays drivers are terrible.
