Jackson’s Recreation Director Resigning To Become Public School Janitor

Longtime Jackson Township Recreation Dept. Director JoeyLynn Anderson, who is responsible for organizing various activities and experiences across the town, is resigning from the position and will become a custodian, better known as a janitor, for the Jackson Board of Education.

Her hiring as custodian is expected to be approved at Wednesday evening’s BOE meeting.

As recreation director, Anderson organized the township’s summer camps, winter sports, spring flea market, roadside cleanup program, and various other programs, activities, and events.

It is unclear what responsibilities Anderson will have in her new position.
