Jackson Township Launches “Meet the Mayor” Sessions to Strengthen Community Engagement

Jackson Mayor Jen Kuhn has announced the launch of new “Meet the Mayor” sessions, offering residents more direct opportunities to engage with township leadership.

The initiative will allow residents to meet personally with Mayor Kuhn to discuss township operations, administrative matters, and local concerns. The sessions are designed to give community members a voice in shaping how services are delivered and how departments are performing, while fostering a more responsive and inclusive local government.

Under Jackson Township’s Faulkner Act “Mayor-Council” form of government, the Mayor serves as the chief executive officer, responsible for overseeing daily municipal operations and implementing policies set by the Township Council. The “Meet the Mayor” program aims to create a structured yet approachable avenue for residents to share feedback and collaborate on solutions to community issues.

Residents will be able to attend scheduled office hours or arrange one-on-one meetings with the Mayor at Town Hall. Additionally, informal “Meet the Mayor” events will be held periodically in public settings, allowing for open conversation about township priorities, ongoing projects, and neighborhood challenges.

Tentative Office Hours for Mayor Kuhn:

Mondays: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Tuesdays: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Second & Fourth Tuesdays: 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Fridays: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Meetings will take place at Town Hall and can be scheduled in advance through the Mayor’s Office at 732-928-1281. A full schedule of office hours and upcoming “Meet the Mayor” events will soon be posted on the official Jackson Township website and social media platforms.
