Jackson Township officials are inviting residents interested in playing a more active role in local government to apply for service on one of the township’s advisory boards or committees.
Mayor Jennifer Kuhn, along with the Jackson Township Council, announced that applications are now being accepted from residents who want to contribute their time, experience, and ideas to help guide township policy and community initiatives.
According to the township, serving on a board or commission offers residents an opportunity to participate directly in local decision-making and provide input on issues affecting Jackson Township. Officials emphasized that residents of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Those interested in volunteering are asked to complete a Citizen Leadership Form, which is available on the township’s website at www.jacksontwpnj.net under the Forms, Licenses and Permits section. Applicants are requested to fill out the entire form and attach a resume if available.
Questions about the boards or the application process may be directed to the Mayor’s Office by phone at 732-928-1200, ext. 1218, or by email at JKhun@jacksontwpnj.net. All applications for consideration must be submitted by January 3, 2026.
The township currently has openings or opportunities for service on the following advisory boards and committees:
- Veterans Commission
- Rent Leveling Board
