Jackson Township First Aid Squad Hosting Community Blood Drive Today

The Jackson Township First Aid Squad is inviting residents to roll up their sleeves and help save lives at a community blood drive scheduled for Monday, August 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 38 East Veteran’s Highway.

The drive, held in partnership with New Jersey Blood Services, is open to both scheduled donors and walk-ins. Appointments are encouraged and can be made by scanning the QR code on the event flyer or by visiting www.nybc.org/drive using sponsor code 68797.

Organizers stress the importance of eating well, staying hydrated, and bringing a photo ID when coming to donate. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent) and meet minimum weight requirements. Those age 76 or older may donate with a one-time doctor’s note.

Each donor between will also receive a voucher for a free beverage at a participating venue as part of the “Pint for a Pint” program.

Donating blood is a simple, yet powerful way to help those in need. A single donation can save up to three lives.
