Jackson Republican Leadership Endorses Henry, Clifton, Sauickie for LD-12

Jackson Republican Organization Club President Mordy Burnstein announced his endorsement of Old Bridge Mayor Owen Henry for State Senate, along with Assemblymen Rob Clifton and Alex Sauickie for re-election in New Jersey’s Twelfth Legislative District.

Joining Club President Burnstein in the endorsement are Jackson Mayor Mike Reina, Council President Martin Flemming, and Jackson Councilmembers Stephen Chisholm, Nino Borrelli, Jennifer Kuhn, and Scott Sargent.

“I am honored and grateful to make this endorsement together with Mayor Reina and the entire Jackson Council as a united leadership team,” said Burnstein. “Together, we have been impressed by Mayor Henry, Assemblyman Clifton and Assemblyman Sauickie’s commitment to serving the people of Jackson, their willingness to fight for the interests of our growing town in Trenton, and their promise to build a strong and cooperative presence here in town. All three candidates have committed to doing their part in moving Jackson Forward.”

“This is the right team to keep moving Jackson forward in 2023,” added Mayor Reina. “I stand ready to work with each of them to address the concerns I hear from voters across Jackson every day – the need for property tax relief, support for our law enforcement, protecting the role of parents in our children’s education, the need for smart growth and infrastructure improvements, support for our local small businesses and more. Together, and united, we can deliver.”

This announcement effectively secures a victory for Henry, Clifton, and Sauickie at the Ocean County Convention. Per county by-laws, Club President Burnstein will cast seven votes at the convention, with Mayor Reina and a Council representative casting one vote each.
