Jackson Rebuilding And Upgrading Playground Near Its Spray Park

Jackson Township has announced it is rebuilding its ADA compliant “Field of Dreams” playground at the Jackson Justice Complex.  The playground will replace the existing aging playground.

The new playground will feature more interactive stations, swing sets, obstacles, interactivity, and fun challenges for special needs children in Jackson Township.

Canopies will be integrated into the structure to provide shade areas for children and their families or caretakers while enjoying the new playground.

The plan was presented at the July 9th Township council meeting and approved unanimously by the township council.

This playground is the third major upgrade announced by the township this year.  The others were new playgrounds at Woodlane Park and Johnson Park.

“The Field of Dreams project is important to Jackson because it gives children with disabilities a place they can call their own, that is tailored for their needs and will create lifetime memories for them,” said Mayor Michael Reina.

The Jackson Township Council thanked Mayor Reina and Business Administrator Terrence Wall for their effort in working with the vendor to design the playground and for their commitment to youth recreational services.

Councilman Mordechai Burnstein thanked the administration saying, “The Jackson public park system is already one of the best in the area and these much needed replacements being presented by the Mayor’s office shows our town’s commitment to our children, to help families foster a more active and outdoor lifestyle.”

Councilman Nino Borrelli thanked Mayor Reina for his continued support of the children and young families in Jackson Township.
