Jackson Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Attempted Burglary Suspect

The Jackson Township Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect captured on a Ring camera attempting to enter a home on Jackson Mills Road on the morning of Monday, June 30th.

According to police, the homeowner, who was not at home at the time, received a motion alert from her Ring Video Camera. The video showed a Black male, approximately in his early thirties with a trimmed beard, wearing a white shirt, navy Yankees cap, blue Nike shorts, and white sneakers. The suspect was seen using his shirt to manipulate the front door handle, apparently to avoid leaving fingerprints.

Police said the man was also wearing a distinctive jewel-encrusted ring on his right ring finger. Prior to approaching the front door, he was seen on rear-facing cameras opening a fence gate and entering the backyard.

A white sedan was also observed in the video parked on Jackson Mills Road, though no license plate was visible. Attempts to locate additional footage from neighboring residences were unsuccessful, police said.

Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is asked to contact Police Officer Zak at mzak@jacksontwpnj.net or call 732-928-1111. Anonymous tips are welcome.
