Jackson Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Suspect Who Fled Traffic Stop

The Jackson Township Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who fled from a traffic stop on Saturday evening, July 19.

According to authorities, a concerned motorist contacted Jackson Police Dispatch to report a black 2016 BMW 750, bearing New Jersey registration V35VNM, being driven erratically on Bennetts Mills Road. Officer Kalbach #315 located the vehicle traveling westbound and initiated a traffic stop.

Upon making contact with the driver—who was not the registered owner—Officer Kalbach attempted to obtain the individual’s license, registration, and insurance information. A young child, estimated to be around five years old, was observed in the rear passenger seat. The driver claimed the child was his son and identified himself only as “Emmanuel.” During the interaction, the driver abruptly fled the scene at a high rate of speed, placing nearby motorists and his passenger at risk.

The vehicle was last seen turning left onto Butterfly Road. Despite an area search, officers were unable to locate it.

The suspect is described as a Black male with a bald head, a groomed beard, and wearing a black t-shirt and jeans. Investigators believe he may go by the name “Manny” or “Uncle Manny” and may reside in either Brick or Jackson. A stock photo of the vehicle model has been released to aid in public identification.

Anyone with information that may help identify the suspect is urged to contact Officer Kalbach at mkalbach@jacksontwpnj.net or call the Jackson Police Department at 732-928-1111. Anonymous tips are welcome.
