Jackson police detectives busted a group with drugs after residents complained of quality of life issues in the 60 Acre Reserve Neighborhood.
Police say that detectives were conducting surveillance in the area due to multiple quality of life complaints received from residents in the area. Those complaints included allegations of illicit drug usage and sales.
During the course of conducting surveillance, detectives witnessed a male walk to a vehicle parked on a court off of the main loop. Here the male conducted a hand-to-hand drug transaction with a male seated in a second vehicle.
After viewing the suspected hand to hand drug transaction, the first male was viewed walking away while manipulating apparent wax folds of heroin in his hand. Detectives made contact with this male and advised him he was under arrest; he then failed to comply with lawful orders of the Detectives, but was subdued quickly and placed under arrest for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Detectives were then able to conduct a motor vehicle stop with the second vehicle as it attempted to leave the area. The three occupants of the vehicle were detained during the investigation, and subsequently placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle yielded multiple bundles of heroin, crack cocaine, scales, ski masks and two loaded handguns. One of the handguns was found to contain hollow point bullets and the other had a high capacity magazine.
Through the investigation the wax folds of suspected heroin found on the first male matched those allegedly sold by the subjects in the second vehicle. Additional crack cocaine was later located during a further search of the arrestees at Headquarters.

All subjects were transported to the Ocean County Jail at the conclusion of the investigation.
