FULL REPLAY: Jackson Planning Boad Hears Testimony on 3 Proposed Jewish Schools

Jackson Township’s planning board heard testimony on Monday evening from experts hired by a Jewish developer seeking to build three private schools on Leesville Road, just off West Veterans.

The plan, proposed by Lees Village LLC, calls for the building of two elementary schools – one for boys and one for girls – as well as a high school. In total, the schools are intended to serve 1,400 students.

The developer has separately proposed building four more private schools about two miles further north on Leesville Road. That proposal isn’t set to be heard by the township until May.

There was no vote held on the proposal last night, and further hearings are expected.
