The Jackson Planning Board on Monday evening approved plans for a mikvah to be established at the current site of Innova Dental Solutions on the corner of South New Prospect and Woodlane Road.
The mikvah initiative, which has been fundraising for months, will see the establishment of the first large-scale mikvah on the north side of Jackson, bringing a much-needed service to hundreds of families in the area.
The mikvah building is nearly 12,000 square feet in size, with plans for more than two dozen rooms, and additional space for keilim.

Why not smaller strategically placed mikvaos that can serve more people on Shabbos and YT?
This can serve over 1000 families on Shabbos as well. It is very well situated
South Side needs one as well!
Good I’m going and all in jackson
What about the traffic, foot or car, that this will cause at that light with the house across the street that is used for prayers? Does anybody take that into consideration? There are other people that live in this community.
I don’t see there being a lot more traffic than a dentist office during business hours. 30 people max?
I’m sure there was no concern about that when the dentist office went up.
They don’t care who they effect, negativity or positively, outside their group.
And how much money did the planning board get paid off from the Orthodox community to get this approved?
Humm
Such a building does not cause much traffic being that there are not too many people going at the same time, and on weekends they are walking. So it shouldnt make things any worse if anything it should be LESS traffic ten the dentist office.
Be well
Not necessary!! They can bath in the showers and/or tubs in their own homes.
