Jackson residents united at a Tuesday night parlor meeting to raise funds for a new Jackson ambulance. By the time the night was done, more than $460,000 had been raised – far surpassing the original goal of $350,000, which was the actual cost of the ambulance.
The luxurious parlor meeting was held at Jackson resident and philanthropist Eli Hassan’s home, where he and co-host Aryeh Miller provided attendees with a night they will long remember.
The ambulance for which the funds were being raised was parked at the parlor meeting itself, and will be stationed in Royal Grove. The ambulance will become the fourth Hatzolah of Central Jersey rig stationed in Jackson.
