Police, Elected Officials Investigating Pro-Palestinian Protest Planned For Jackson Next Sunday

Officials in Jackson are investigating after a flyer circulated on social media appearing to show that a pro-Palestinian rally is scheduled to take place at the Jackson Department of Public Works, located at 60 Don Connor Boulevard in the township.

Officials tell Lakewood Alerts that no permits for a protest at the DPW has been submitted or approved. The Jackson Police Department and New Jersey State Police are also investigating the origins of the flyer announcing the protest, as well as whether there are individuals who are planning to attempt to illegally hold a demonstration at the DPW.

The post, which originated on Facebook, is no longer available from where it was first posted, and officials believe it was never a serious plan to begin with.
