Jackson Township Mayor Jennifer Kuhn strongly condemned the recent vandalism at the former Christa McAuliffe Middle School, which authorities are investigating as a bias incident.
“I am deeply disturbed by the recent act of vandalism in Jackson Township,” Kuhn said. “There is no place in our community for antisemitism, hate, or intimidation directed at any individual or group.”
Kuhn praised the Jackson Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office for their swift response and urged anyone with information to cooperate with investigators so those responsible can be identified and held accountable.
“Incidents like this serve as a reminder that our words and actions matter,” the mayor said. “We must reject hatred, prejudice, and rhetoric that seeks to divide or dehumanize others.”
Addressing the township’s Jewish community, Kuhn added, “To our Jewish neighbors, and to every resident who has been affected by this incident, please know that you have my full support. Jackson Township stands united against hate.”
