Jackson Jewish Community Council Urges Residents to Register to Vote Ahead of Election Day

With Election Day fast approaching, the Jackson Jewish Community Council (JJCC) is urging every member of the local Kehila to take the vital step of registering to vote, emphasizing that participation is essential to ensuring the community’s needs are met.

In a letter to residents, the JJCC highlighted the tangible improvements Jackson has seen in recent years — achievements the group says were made possible through civic engagement and advocacy.

Among the accomplishments:

  • Transportation for children: Nearly 7,000 local children now receive busing, with expanded coverage helping ensure safe, reliable travel to and from school.

  • Parks and recreation: Investments have been made to upgrade parks across town, creating safe, enjoyable spaces for families.

  • Upgraded infrastructure: Sidewalks have been added and expanded, with plans for more pathways to improve walkability.

  • Safer roads: Street upgrades continue, with additional projects underway to enhance safety for drivers and pedestrians alike.

“These are meaningful and lasting improvements that directly benefit our families,” the JJCC wrote. “But progress can only continue if we remain active participants in the voting process.”

The council is calling on all eligible residents — anyone 18 or older — to register and make sure their households are prepared for Election Day.

To register, residents can visit https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/register or contact the Ocean County Board of Elections at 732-929-2167.
