Jackson Home Destroyed As Firefighters Battle Blaze For Nearly 4 Hours

A structure fire in Jackson Township prompted a large-scale emergency response on Shabbos, with all four Jackson Fire Companies dispatched to the scene around 4:45 p.m. The fire occurred within Station 56’s First Due area, requiring extensive resources due to its location in a non-hydrant district.

Upon arrival, Assistant Chief 5610 quickly escalated the response to a second alarm, bringing in additional units from the Millstone Township Fire Department and multiple mutual aid partners. These outside agencies also provided station coverage for Jackson’s firehouses, which were left empty as crews worked to contain the blaze.

Given the lack of hydrants in the area, all available township tanker trucks were deployed to the scene, ensuring a continuous water supply for firefighting operations. Crews battled the fire for nearly four hours before successfully extinguishing the flames and returning to their respective stations.

The Jackson Fire Bureau, with assistance from Jackson Township Fire District No. 4, is conducting an investigation to determine the origin and cause of the fire. No further details have been released at this time.
