Firefighters from Jackson Fire District #4 quickly contained and extinguished a structure fire Tuesday morning on Albany Avenue, preventing the blaze from spreading further.
According to fire officials, crews were dispatched to the scene at approximately 7:39 a.m. following reports of a structure fire.
Engine 5421 arrived first and immediately began suppression efforts. Firefighters deployed a handline, located the source of the fire, and were able to quickly bring it under control.
Officials said the crew successfully confined and extinguished the fire before it could extend to other areas of the structure, limiting potential damage.
Fire officials credited the outcome to the rapid response and coordinated teamwork of the Engine 5421 crew, noting that their swift actions were key to stopping the fire early.
