Jackson EMS and NJ Blood Services to Host Life-Saving Blood Drive August 18

Jackson EMS is partnering with New Jersey Blood Services to host a life-saving blood drive on Monday, August 18, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 38 East Veterans Highway.

Organizers are encouraging both new and returning donors to participate, noting that just one pint of blood can help save up to three lives. The drive aims to support hospitals and emergency responders across the region at a time when blood donations are critically needed.

Appointments are recommended to ensure an efficient experience, though walk-ins are welcome. Donors can sign up in advance by visiting: https://donate.nybc.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/325788

Donor Eligibility Requirements:

  • Bring a valid photo ID
  • Be well-hydrated and eat a healthy meal beforehand
  • Be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent, subject to local regulations)
  • Meet general health and weight requirements
