Jackson Council Invites Families To Enjoy New And Modern Playground At Woodlane Park

Spring is here, and the Jackson Township Council is inviting residents to visit and enjoy the new improvements at Woodlane Park as the weather begins to warm up.

Newly installed playground equipment is now open, with township officials noting that many of the features are ADA-compliant, offering accessible play options for children of all abilities. Slides, activities, and a new covered picnic area are available for visitors.

The park is located on Forest Avenue, off Aldrich Road.

“Woodlane Park provides our town a much-needed recreational resource for all ages,” said Council President Jennifer Kuhn. “It makes for a great after-school or weekend activity for families, especially those with young children who need ADA-compliant play activities.”

Council President Kuhn also confirmed that the township has begun work on installing pickleball courts.

“Woodlane Park also offers a wide-open field for football, soccer, and other activities,” said Council Vice President Mordechai Burnstein. “Thank you to Mayor Michael Reina and the Public Works Department for making this new, modern playground a reality for everyone to enjoy.”

The council reminds visitors that leagues and teams with permits to use the field for practice have priority and to be respectful and courteous.

At the final March Township Council meeting, Councilmembers Giuseppe Palmeri, Scott Sargent, and Nino Borrelli echoed that sentiment, thanking the mayor and inviting the community to check out the new playground.

Construction has officially begun on the new pickleball courts, part of the township’s ongoing investment in recreational infrastructure. The courts are expected to attract a growing community of players to the park, which is already a hub for local families.

Dogs are allowed at Woodlane Park, but the township reminds residents that, for the safety of pets and others, all dogs must be kept on a leash.
