Jackson Council Appoints Jennifer Kuhn As New Mayor, Mordy Burnstein As Council President

Jackson Council President Jennifer Kuhn was voted in as the new Mayor of Jackson on Friday morning, stepping into the role vacated by longtime Mayor Mike Reina, who stepped down after nearly 18 years in office.

Kuhn will serve out the remainder of the term, which runs through December 31, 2026. Her appointment marks a new chapter in Jackson’s municipal leadership following Reina’s sudden departure on October 1.

With Kuhn ascending to the mayoralty, the Council reshuffled its leadership. Vice President Mordy Burnstein was elevated to Council President, while Councilman Giuseppe Palmeri was chosen to fill the Vice President’s seat.

The moves leave a vacant council seat, which township officials say will now be filled through an application process open to interested residents. The Council will review applicants before making an appointment.

  2. It”s because of comments like these that there is a felling of need for more representatives in the government because a part of the population needs representatives and not bias hate at every turn
