Jackson Board of Education Sells School Trailers Previously Deemed Unsafe

The Jackson Board of Education has approved the sale of four trailers formerly used by Holman Elementary School, following their designation as unsafe due to mold concerns. The decision was made on the recommendation of the Board Secretary and involved an auction conducted via GovDeals.

The winning bidder, Ace Trailer Sales, a Lakewood-based company, will purchase the trailers for a total of $7,575. The breakdown of the sale is as follows:
Trailer T-1: $2,000
Trailer T-2: $2,025
Trailer T-3: $2,025
Trailer T-5 (no bathroom): $1,525

The trailers, previously a part of Holman Elementary School’s infrastructure, were removed from service due to health and safety concerns stemming from mold. This sale marks the end of their use within the district and a small step toward resolving the school’s facilities issues.
