Police responded late Thursday night after reports of two vehicles being stolen. As the suspects fled with each in one vehicle, one crashed near Leesville and Quaker Hill Road.
The suspect was caught in the vehicle – which suddenly burst into flames.
Jackson fire and EMS responded to the scene and managed to save the suspect from the burning car, transporting him to a hospital for treatment before being transferred to police detention.
Police and Shomrim are continuing to search for the second vehicle and suspect.
