Investigation Underway Following Fatal Three-Car Collision On Jackson Mills Road

Authorities are investigating a tragic three-car collision that claimed the life of one driver and left two others injured, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago announced on Wednesday.

The crash occurred on Monday at approximately 10:27 p.m. on Jackson Mills Road near Geisler Road.

Preliminary findings indicate that a 20-year-old man was driving a 2017 Infiniti Q50 northbound on Jackson Mills Road when his vehicle collided with a 2017 Ford Transit Van, operated by a 40-year-old man. During the collision, a 2017 Subaru Legacy, driven by a 21-year-old man traveling southbound behind the van, sideswiped the van’s passenger side before coming to a stop off the right-hand side of the road.

The 20-year-old Infiniti driver was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday morning at 6:22 a.m. The drivers of the van and the Subaru sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a separate hospital for treatment.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Freehold Township Police Department are conducting a joint investigation into the cause of the collision.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward. Witnesses can contact MCPO Sergeant Kristian DeVito at 800-533-7443 or Freehold Township Police Officer Lorenzo Felix at 732-462-7908.
