Howell Township Lakes Stocked with Hundreds of Trout for Fall Fishing Season

Anglers in Howell Township have a fresh opportunity this fall, as three local lakes were recently stocked with approximately 800 rainbow and brown trout. The stocking, completed this past Wednesday, introduced trout ranging from 10 to 14 inches into Echo Lake, Aldrich Lake, and the smaller lake near the Country Meadow gazebo off Plumstead Drive.

Echo and Aldrich Lakes received the bulk of the trout, while a smaller number were placed in the Country Meadow lake to diversify local fishing options.

Howell officials are encouraging residents to enjoy the new stock this season and noted that any trout not caught during fall and winter would remain available for fishing in the spring.
