Hatzolah Participates In Mass Casualty Simulation At Community Medical Center

Hatzolah of Central Jersey and other local EMS organizations joined forces to conduct a Full-Scale Mass Casualty Exercise at Community Medical Center in Toms River. The exercise aimed to test the hospital’s surge capacity by simulating the triage, treatment, and transport of over 31 patients from the simulated scene.

In addition to Hatzolah, the event brought together agencies from South Toms River EMS, Stafford Township Emergency, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Community Medical Center, and Toms River Office of Emergency Management, to create partnerships and connections before a disaster occurs.

According to organizers, the exercise was designed to discover strengths and areas for improvement, test disaster plans, and ensure that the right tools are available in the event of a disaster. The success of the exercise was attributed to the teamwork and collaboration among the participating agencies.
