This past Sunday, the town of Lakewood was filled with joy and celebration as Yeshiva Tiferes Yaakov Yitzchok hosted a magnificent Hachnosas Sefer Torah ceremony. The event was a momentous milestone for the yeshiva and the community, as a new Sefer Torah was dedicated and brought into the yeshiva’s Bais Hamedrash.
The Sefer Torah was generously donated by the 175 alumni of Yeshiva Tiferes Yaakov Yitzchok, exemplifying their ongoing devotion and support for the yeshiva’s spiritual and Torah growth.
A highlight of the event was the attendance of the Nasi of the yeshiva, Hagaon HaRav Elya Brundy, who was present to witness the completion and dedication of the Sefer Torah. His presence added special significance to the celebration, inspiring those present with Divrei Bracha.
Additionally, philanthropist and benefactor of the yeshiva, Reb Raphael Herzka, graciously attended the event and also wrote a letter in the Sefer Torah. The Yeshiva bers the name of his father “Yaakov Yitzchok” Zt’l.
As the Sefer Torah was completed, the entire yeshiva erupted into jubilant singing and dancing, with the two Roshei Yeshiva, HaRav Chaim Zalman Herzka and HaRav Chanina Brudny, leading the joyous festivities
