Gubernatorial Candidate Josh Gottheimer Pledges to Make Yeshiva Tuition Tax Credits a Top Priority [VIDEO]

Rep. Josh Gottheimer, who is running for the Democratic nomination in New Jersey’s 2025 gubernatorial race, attended the Yeshiva K’tana of Passaic dinner on Sunday night. Speaking outside the venue following the dinner, Gottheimer released a message vowing that, if elected governor, he will make yeshiva tuition tax credits a top priority of his.

Gottheimer is in a tight six-way race in Tuesday’s primary. Analysts say that because of how close it is, Orthodox Jews across New Jersey could case the deciding votes in this primary – which also features a plethora of candidates who are anything but pro-yeshivas.

Early voting ended Sunday. The polls on Tuesday open at 6 am and close at 8 pm.

  1. Will this tax credit be offered to those going to Christian private schools, Muslim, or any other private institution. If you are paying tuition regardless of religious affiliation it should apply to everyone.
