Flatbush Shomrim announced on Wednesday morning that it will be expanding its coverage area for the summer season to include the Jersey Shore, including Deal, Long Branch, and other parts of the region.
“After receiving many phone calls and requests from community members, community leaders, and community organizations, and with the assistance [of] local municipalities… Flatbush Shomrim [has] decided to bring our services down to the Jersey Shore for the summer,” a message from the organization said.
During its stint at the Jersey Shore, Flatbush Shomrim will be working collaboratively with Jersey Shore Hatzolah and Jersey Shore Chaveirim to ensure a safe and relaxing experience for all heading to the region this summer.
In recent years, the Jersey Shore has seen numerous pop-up parties, in which massive crowds of rowdy teens converge on a town and begin partying, often wildly. These and other potential threats that exist at the shore, particularly during the busy summer season, necessitated Flatbush Shomrim’s intervention.
