Fire That Engulfed Toms River Home On Monday Deemed Not Suspicious [VIDEO]

Toms River firefighters responded to a structure fire early Monday afternoon on S. Chanticleer Court in the Greenbriar Woodlands neighborhood. The Pleasant Plains Fire Company, in collaboration with the five other Township fire departments and many mutual aid partners, worked diligently to control and extinguish the fire promptly and successfully.

The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The circumstances pertaining to the cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious at this time. Fire department units will remain on scene into the evening as the investigation, led by Inspector Oeskovic and Lead Inspector Roselli, continues.

“The fire departments’ immediate focus was to ensure the safety of the community and control the situation as quickly as possible. I would like to thank Toms River Police Department, EMS and the other emergency service agencies for the support they provided that the scene,” Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention Chief Inspector Mathew Janora said.

“I want to commend the rapid and coordinated response of our firefighters, along with the valuable support provided by the other responding fire companies from the local area. Their collective efforts played a essential role in containing the fire and preventing further spread to neighboring properties,” he added.
