False Alarm: Bomb Threat at Lakewood Office Traced to Scammer Call in Williamsburg

Tower 3 at 411 Boulevard of the Americas was fully evacuated Friday morning after a bomb threat prompted a response from local and county emergency agencies. The incident, which occurred shortly before 10 AM, led to an intense scene as police, K-9 units, and other first responders worked to secure the area.

According to updated information, the threat did not originate in Lakewood but was instead a scam call made to MedElite’s Williamsburg office. The call – coming from a suspect who was already known to law enforcement, according to officials – was routed to MedElite’s Lakewood location, prompting the emergency response.

Authorities have since confirmed that the area is all clear and emphasized that the call did not specifically target the Lakewood office.
