Salvina Tannenholz, a 72-year-old, succumbed to her injuries after her vehicle crashed into a tree on Devereux Drive in Manchester.
According to Captain Albert Vega, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. when Tannenholz’s Subaru Outback veered off the road while navigating a curve on Renaissance Boulevard. The vehicle struck a curb before continuing straight and colliding with a tree at 11 Devereux Drive.
Responding authorities found Tannenholz unconscious and not breathing at the scene. First responders immediately initiated life-saving measures, including CPR, and transported her to Community Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Tannenholz may not have been wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Patrolman Keith Douglas of the Traffic Safety Unit is leading the investigation, which indicates that an unknown medical episode is believed to be the primary cause of the accident.
