Lakewood Shomrim and the Lakewood Police Department are investigating a disturbing incident off Route 88 Monday night, in which a woman says she was assaulted by a male, who approached and groped her.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male wearing a red hoodie, black shorts and shoes, and white socks.
Anyone with surveillance cameras in the area of East 4th Street and Cottage Place is requested to immediately contact the Lakewood Police Department at 732-363-0200 and Lakewood Shomrim at 732-367-1212.
Residents are also reminded to walk in brightly lit areas, and with an accompanying friend or relative when possible.
So the Police Department is helping out Shomrim with their investigation? I’m confused.
I truly believe this was a simple error. We are all human, mistakes can happen.
