CRACKING DOWN: Lakewood BOE Warns Bus Companies Against Violating Its Safety Rules [READ THE LETTER]

The Lakewood Board of Education has issued a letter to transportation vendors warning them that they will be cracking down on safety violations.

The letter, which can be read in full below, lists the various violations over which bus companies could be fined if they do not follow their contractual obligations.

There has been a marked increase in complaints over bus safety, or lack thereof, in Lakewood in recent years, and the Lakewood BOE appears determined to bring an end to dangerous incidents on township streets involving school buses.
